I got confused for a bit...
During a practice this last week, a question presented itself:
Can you keep your heart open to what is coming towards you without surrendering the experience of the present moment by becoming too future-oriented?
Wow! On initial examination, it felt uncomfortably contradictory.
~ Aren't the present moment and the future in juxtaposition?
~ Aren't they two separate entities?
~ Where exactly does "the future" start?
~ Do the present and the future actually ever meet?
HOLI, HOLY and HOLY MOSES!
I always love the big energy this Spring Moon brings. It gets everyone going.
The Hindus celebrate Holi. Named for Holika, a female demon and sister of King Hiranyakashayap. The roots of the festival lie in a Hindu parable of good triumphing over evil. It also celebrates eternal and divine love and welcomes Spring. While best known in the West as the Festival of Colors, the night before this celebration is traditionally spent in a cleansing fire ritual and puja.
